The Night Comes Down은 퀸의 첫 번째 앨범 Queen(1973)에 수록된

여섯 번째 트랙으로 Brian May가 쓴 곡입니다.

 

좋았던 어린 시절의 추억, 나이가 들어감에 따라 변해가는 모습에 대한 안타까움,

그 과정에서 자신을 잃고 헤메지는 않을까 걱정하는 마음을 표현한 것으로 보입니다.

어두운 분위기로 시작하지만 순수하고 예쁘장한 멜로디가 전개됩니다.

마지막에 가사 and it's dark again 이후 점차 어둠으로 빨려들어가는 듯한 연주로 마무리하며

다음 곡 Modern Times Rock'N'Roll로 자연스레 이어집니다.
